Safe City’s Mera Pyara Team reunites lost girl with family after five years

LAHORE, Oct 28 (APP):The Mera Pyara Center established at the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has achieved another remarkable success by reuniting a girl, Iram, with her family after five years of separation.
According to a spokesperson, Iram, a resident of Shahdara, had gone missing five years ago and was residing at the Child Protection Bureau Lahore during this time. When the Mera Pyara Team interviewed her, she could only recall that her home was near a graveyard in Lahore’s Firdous Market area. When the Safe City team took her to Firdous Market for further search, an elderly resident recognized her and informed the team that she was the daughter of his former neighbors who had moved to Shahdara some years ago and now sell fruits there. The team then proceeded to Shahdara, where after interacting with local fruit vendors, Iram identified one of them as her father. After thorough verification, the Safe City team successfully reunited Iram with her parents. Iram’s father, overwhelmed with emotion, said, “We had lost all hope of ever finding our daughter. We even held a funeral prayer in our village. Today feels like Eid for our family.”
According to the spokesperson of the Punjab Safe Cities Authority, the Mera Pyara Team has so far helped reunite over 50,000 missing children and elderly persons with their families. Citizens who have information about any missing person are urged to dial 15 and press 3 to share details immediately.
