DERA GHAZI KHAN, Jul 23 (APP):Traffic violations that were once considered a routine affair are now under the spotlight,
thanks to a modern monitoring system that has been activated under Safe City Project
in the city with the latest technology capable to generate penalty tickets automatically
upon sensing any violation.
The initiative was meant to monitor traffic flow, detect violations with a view to ensure
adherence to traffic rules and laws by motorcycle and four-wheel drivers.
The violations that the system is likely to detect and issue penalty tickets included
helmet-less driving, seat belts, using mobile phone while driving, wrong parking and
others.
No violation would now remain hidden from the eye of cameras installed and made
operational across the city, says an official adding that repeated violations could
result in further legal action.
Penalty tickets would be sent to the registered address of the violator.
