Sadiqabad, New Town Police nab two in firing, robbery cases

RAWALPINDI, Oct 17 (APP): Police in Sadiqabad and New Town areas of Rawalpindi have arrested two suspects wanted in separate cases of firing and robbery, recovering cash, a motorcycle and weapons from their possession.
According to a Rawalpindi Police spokesperson on Friday, the Sadiqabad Police arrested a man accused of shooting and injuring a citizen and assaulting his son and daughter four days ago over an old enmity. The accused was traced and apprehended through technical and human intelligence sources.
In another operation, the New Town Police caught a suspect allegedly involved in multiple robbery incidents. The police recovered a snatched motorcycle, Rs32,000 taken at gunpoint, and a weapon used in the offenses.
Superintendent of Police Rawal Division Saad Arshad said that the accomplices of both arrested men would be captured soon, adding that the cases would be challaned with solid evidence to ensure exemplary punishment.
“Those who rob citizens of their valuables or resort to violence cannot escape the grip of the law,” SP Saad Arshad remarked.
