SACM visits safe city control room, reviews Muharram security arrangements

SARGODHA, Jun 25 (APP):Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Punjab for Inspection Team, Shoaib Mirza visited the Safe City Control Room in Sargodha on Thursday to review security and monitoring arrangements for 9th Muharram processions and religious gatherings.
According to the official spokesperson here, SACM was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Hussain Ahmed Raza Chaudhry and District Police Officer Shoaib Ashraf.
During the visit, officials briefed him on the surveillance and security measures being implemented through the Safe City monitoring system for Muharram-ul-Haram.
On the occasion, SP Aamir Mushtaq, in charge of the control room, provided a detailed briefing on district-wide security arrangements, the CCTV surveillance network, and steps taken by police to ensure the safety of mourners and maintain law and order.
Mirza spent considerable time at the control room, personally observing the live monitoring of processions and majalis at various locations through CCTV cameras.
He reviewed the effectiveness of the surveillance system and the coordination among law enforcement agencies.
The DC and DPO informed him that all available resources were being utilized to ensure peaceful observance of Muharram and the protection of mourners.
They added that processions and religious gatherings were being continuously monitored through the Safe City’s advanced surveillance infrastructure.
