KOHAT, Jun 04 (APP):Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Kohat has initiated effective measures on Wednesday to ensure the provision of travel facilities to passengers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and to prevent self-imposed fares, these steps were taken on the special instructions of Commissioner Kohat Syed Mutasim Billah Shah.
According to APP correspondent, the Secretary RTA Shah Wazir along with Superintendent RTA visited various bus and wagon depots of the city.
During the visit, he met the depot owners and managers and strictly directed them to ensure the availability of vehicles during the days of Eid-ul-Adha and avoid unjustified increase in fares.
Shah Wazir clarified that strict legal action will be taken against violators.
He said that for the convenience of the public, joint special teams consisting of RTA Kohat and traffic police have been formed which will monitor various bus stands and highways during Eid so that passengers do not face any problem.
The public circles have appreciated these steps of the administration and expressed hope that better travel facilities will be provided to passengers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
