RAWALPINDI, Nov 24 (APP):The Regional Police Office (RPO) Rawalpindi on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Nayaab Labs and Diagnostic Centre to offer discounted and timely medical services to police officers, personnel and their families, a spokesman said.
RPO Babar Sarfraz Alpa and Chief Executive Officer of Nayaab Labs, Dr Nawab Zaheeruddin Sheikh, signed the agreement at a ceremony attended by Additional Deputy Inspector General (ADIG) Malik Naeem, Welfare Branch officials and other officers.
Under the MoU, police employees and their families will receive 40 per cent discount on all pathology tests, while families of police martyrs will be offered 45 per cent discount. Radiology services will include 30 per cent off CT scans, and 25 per cent on ultrasounds and X-rays, while cardiac services — including ECG, ETT, Echo and PFT — will also carry a 25 per cent concession.
The spokesman said Nayaab Labs would additionally organise health-awareness sessions and medical camps in designated RPO Rawalpindi areas. Laboratory reports will be available to police staff through an online mobile application and web portal.
RPO Alpa said the welfare of the police force remained a top priority, adding that the agreement would help ensure quality and prompt medical support for employees and their dependents.
Dr Sheikh said Nayaab Labs had maintained high medical standards, and the concession package reflected recognition of the police force’s service.
