Accompanied by senior officers, the RPO examined records, crime management systems, ongoing investigations, cleanliness, and citizen facilities. He received detailed briefings on the progress of serious case investigations.

RPO Alpa instructed officers to ensure investigations are conducted with speed, transparency, and merit, emphasising that delays or negligence in handling serious cases would not be tolerated. Investigating officers were directed to complete inquiries using modern methods, submit timely reports, and provide daily case updates.

Highlighting the importance of public interaction, he urged officers to treat citizens courteously, address complaints promptly, and minimise delays. He also called for an efficient front desk, organised record-keeping, and continuous monitoring of CCTV and other technical systems.

The RPO reviewed patrolling arrangements, checkpoints, and crime-prevention measures, directing continued intelligence-based operations against criminal elements and reinforced security within police jurisdictions.

“The police’s primary mission is to uphold the rule of law, deliver timely justice, and restore public trust,” RPO Alpa said. “Every officer and staff member must perform their duties with integrity, dedication, and professionalism to provide maximum relief to the public.”
