Roof collapse in Chiniot village kills woman, injures girl

CHINIOT, Apr 4 (APP):A roof collapsed near Chak 132 Dhamray on Faisalabad Road in Chiniot district on Saturday, killing 40-year-old Khalida Bibi and seriously injuring 8-year-old Momina.

According to rescue sources, the Rescue 1122 teams reached the site quickly and began relief work.

Khalida, daughter of Rehmat Ali and a resident of Chak 132, was declared dead at the scene, her body was handed to relatives after formalities.

Momina, daughter of Shahbaz, received first aid and was taken to District Headquarters Hospital. Rescue officials said operations were completed promptly and further proceedings are underway to determine the cause of the collapse.
