GUJRAT, Oct 23 (APP):The University of Gujrat (UoG) Debating Society, in collaboration with the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP), organised a seminar on ‘Road Safety Laws’ at Hafiz Hayat Campus.
SP Motorway Police Syed Farukh Raza was the chief guest, while the dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Faisal Mahmood Mirza, DSP Headquarters Samira Faraz, and Inspector Shamraiz Iqbal attended as guests of honour.
The session was hosted by SSC Incharge Shama Tahseen.Speaking on the occasion, SP Farukh Raza said students are the future of the nation and must promote awareness about traffic laws to ensure safe driving practices. He urged adherence to traffic rules and use of helmets and seat belts.
Other speakers stressed that overspeeding and mobile phone use while driving cause most accidents, and safety precautions can significantly reduce fatalities.
