FAISALABAD, Oct 16 (APP):The Municipal Corporation Faisalabad has accelerated completion of road and lighting projects to improve infrastructure and urban mobility.
A spokesman for local administration said here on Thursday that Municipal Corporation teams have completed high-quality carpeting of deteriorated portions along Canal Road while the carpeting and reconstruction of Mughal Iron Road in Razaabad have also been successfully finalized to provide smooth and safer commuting facilities in the area.
He said that the corporation is simultaneously advancing its “Roshan Faisalabad” drive to enhance night-time visibility and security.
New LED streetlights have been installed with fresh wiring along Aziz Fatima Road, Gulistan Colony and adjoining areas. This initiative would help in significantly improving convenience for pedestrians and motorists after dark, he added.
He said that the corporation has also completed the curb-stone painting around Iqbal Stadium, giving the area a cleaner and more attractive appearance.
Meanwhile, Divisional Commissioner Raja Jahangir Anwar said that uninterrupted municipal services must be ensured at all times to maintain public convenience and city standards.
He also directed that lane marking work on Canal Road should be completed at the earliest to further streamline traffic flow and ensure road safety.
The Municipal Corporation Faisalabad is fully committed to delivering high-quality civic services in line with the provincial government’s developmental vision, he added.
