Review meeting on ongoing foreign-funded projects in Sindh, 10 departments participate

KARACHI, Oct 23 (APP):A significant portfolio review meeting on foreign-funded projects was held at the Sindh Secretariat under the chairmanship of the Minister for Planning and Development, Jam Khan Shoro. Officers and project directors from ten different departments participated in the session.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Planning & Development Board, Najam Ahmed Shah, along with representatives from the departments of Energy, Local Government, Health, Livestock, Agriculture, Transport, Barrages Improvement Unit, and the SWAT project. Each department provided a detailed briefing on their respective progress.
Key schemes such as the CLICK project, BRT, and Yellow Line were also discussed. Minister Jam Khan Shoro was briefed on the Sindh Solar Energy Project, during which he stated that under the government’s new policy, the net metering mechanism has been revised. He directed that a separate detailed meeting beonvened to ensure further progress on the solar energy initiative.
Provincial Minister for Planning Jam Khan Shoro instructed all relevant officials to accelerate the pace of all projects and ensure maximum facilities are provided to the public. He emphasized that all departments must resolve their challenges promptly to ensure timely progress on development projects.
