MIRPUR (AJK), Dec 5 (APP): Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister (PM) Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said on Friday that restoring the trust of the State population people on the newly-formed AJK administration was a major achievement of his government.
While addressing a massive public gathering in Abbaspur in Poonch Division, the PM said that since he took the reins of the government his focus has primarily been on resolving public issues.
He highlighted his special connection with Abbaspur, noting that his father won elections due to strong support from the area. Regarding the rehabilitation of Kashmiri refugees, the PM said that property rights would be granted to refugees of 1965 and 1971. On the occasion, the PM announced a slew of development projects including the establishment of Basic Health Units (BHUs) in all three union councils of Abbaspur, a town committee in Mandhol, and a police station in Sahar Chowki.
He announced the elevation of Abbaspur’s Town Committee to a municipal committee.He also announced setting up of first aid posts along the LoC, construction of roads such as the Tetri Note–Abbaspur road, and upgrading of educational institutions.
He assured that Abbaspur Tehsil Hospital would receive necessary support and announced a grant of Rs. 5 lakh for the Abbaspur Press Club.
He said that his government has addressed key issues, including issuance of health cards, the scheduling of the Bank of AJK, electricity and other issues in an effective and timely manner.
He expressed gratitude to Pakistan for its continued support to the people of Azad Kashmir Kashmir particularly the provision of affordable electricity and subsidized flour. He pledged that Abbaspur would soon become a district and assured the people that the area would soon witness tangible results of the government’s initiatives.
