BAHAWALPUR, Feb 25 (APP): Restoration, repair, and beautification work at the Central Eidgah has formally commenced to ensure improved facilities for citizens ahead of Eid.
The deputy commissioner conducted a surprise visit to the Central Eidgah a day earlier, where he reviewed cleanliness arrangements, structural conditions, and overall facilities at the site. During the inspection, he directed the concerned departments to immediately initiate comprehensive measures including sanitation improvements, repair of damaged infrastructure, and aesthetic enhancement so that the venue can be fully restored before Eid.
He stressed that providing a clean, organised, and pleasant environment for worshippers remains a top priority of the district administration. Highlighting the large number of citizens who gather at the Eidgah for Eid prayers, he stressed the importance of ensuring essential facilities, proper maintenance, and a safe environment for all attendees.
According to the Deputy Commissioner Hassan Raza, restoration work is progressing at an accelerated pace, and relevant departments have been instructed to maintain high standards of quality while ensuring timely completion. The Deputy Commissioner reaffirmed that the Central Eidgah will be fully functional, well-maintained, and visually improved before Eid. He further reiterated that improving public facilities, maintaining cleanliness, and enhancing the urban environment remain among the administration’s foremost priorities in Bahawalpur, and no negligence in this regard will be tolerated.
