LAHORE, Jul 10 (APP):In an introductory meeting with the new House Officers for the 2024-25 session, Lahore General Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr. Faryad Hussain emphasized the importance of respecting teachers and senior doctors to practically adopt medical and moral principles. This respect, he noted, would enable them to treat patients more effectively after completing their house job.
Dr. Hussain highlighted that doctors graduating from Ameer-ud-Din Medical College, affiliated with Lahore General Hospital, will receive a monthly stipend in accordance with government policy, which will aid them in managing their expenses. He further stated that, under the guidance of Principal PGMI Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Farid Zafar, training workshops will be conducted to enhance the skills of House Officers.
Senior doctors are set to deliver lectures on disease symptoms, preventive measures, and modern treatment methods, ensuring that young House Officers are well-prepared to face real-world medical challenges. Dr. Hussain stressed that young doctors, as the nation’s valuable assets, have a long professional journey ahead. He urged them to mentally prepare for higher medical education and specialization, as MBBS alone is not sufficient in today’s demanding medical field.
Emphasizing the importance of serving humanity, Dr. Hussain encouraged the young doctors to stay abreast of the latest medical research and modern technological advancements, which would greatly benefit them in their practical careers. “Full attention to the latest medical research according to modern requirements will help them in practical life,” he concluded.
