ABBOTTABAD, Oct 31 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Abbottabad, Sarmad Salim Akram, has said that addressing the problems of rural communities at their doorstep is among the top priorities of the district administration.
He emphasized that open courts will continue to be held in remote areas to ensure that citizens’ grievances are resolved promptly and effectively.
He expressed these views while chairing a Khuli Kachehri held in the Pind Kargo Khan area of Tehsil Lower Tanawal, which was attended by a large number of local residents who presented their issues to the administration.
During the session, citizens raised complaints regarding health, education, sanitation, water supply, land acquisition, livestock, and other civic concerns.
The Deputy Commissioner issued on-the-spot directives to officers of the relevant departments for immediate action on several matters. Some complaints were formally recorded, and reports were sought from the concerned departments to ensure their timely resolution.
Officials from various departments including the Additional Assistant Commissioner (Revenue), District Health Officer (DHO), Assistant Commissioner (UT), officers from Education, Livestock, C&W, PKHA, Local Government, Public Health, District Police, Agriculture, Tehsildar Lower Tanawal, Girdawar Circle, Revenue Staff, and others — were present on the occasion.
The residents appreciated the efforts of the district administration and expressed their gratitude for organizing the open court, while urging that such public forums be held regularly.
Deputy Commissioner Sarmad Salim Akram reaffirmed that, in line with the provincial government’s directives, the district administration is ensuring the holding of open courts in both urban and rural areas so that public issues can be resolved efficiently and on a priority basis.
