ISLAMABAD, Oct 15 (APP):Residents of the slum area in Sector G-7 have appealed to the authorities to provide a stable electricity supply and install proper street lighting in their locality.
The community has been facing severe difficulties due to frequent power outages and the absence of functional streetlights.
The residents said, the area plunges into complete darkness after sunset, creating serious safety and security risks.
Families, especially women and children, struggle to move around at night, while students find it difficult to study without electricity.
The residents urged the Capital Development Authority, Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), and the Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC) to take immediate action to restore power connections and install streetlights in the area to ensure safety, improve living conditions, and uphold the residents’ basic rights.
