Muzaffargarh , Jul 24 (APP):Rescue 1122 has issued an advisory urging the public to exercise extreme caution from July 15 to September 15, marking the peak of the snake mating season in the region.
According to a spokesperson, nearly all species of snakes become highly aggressive during this period and are more likely to attack any human or animal they encounter.
The advisory highlights that snakes typically emerge after sunset and remain active until dawn, particularly in areas with moisture or standing water. “Snakes are often found along water edges and damp places, especially in rural areas,” the spokesperson noted.
Residents of villages have been strongly advised to take preventive measures, including carrying flashlights during nighttime movements and keeping their eyes on the ground to detect potential threats. “Parents are especially urged to prevent children from playing on the ground at night,” the spokesperson added.
Rescue 1122 stressed that snakes are known to launch direct attacks on humans during these two months, underlining the importance of community awareness and vigilance.
