DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Feb 09 (APP):Rescue 1122 Lakki Marwat responded to 142 emergency incidents over the last week, providing timely assistance and helping save numerous lives.
According to the Rescue 1122 spokesman, the operations were carried out under under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Bilal Afridi.
Quoting the report he said, the department received a total of 2,720 phone calls during the week. These included 1,328 fake and unnecessary calls, while 1,250 calls were related to information and guidance.
Statistics show that Rescue 1122 handled 115 medical emergencies, 21 road traffic accidents, five cases of fights and firearm injuries, and one fire incident.
During these emergencies, a total of 139 patients were safely shifted to hospitals, while several others were provided medical assistance on the spot.
In addition, Rescue 1122 Lakki Marwat responded to 48 emergencies in which referral services were provided.
Among these, eight patients were transferred within the district, while 40 patients were shifted from one district to another.
Overall, he informed that 51 patients benefited from the Rescue 1122 referral service during the reporting period.
Rescue officials have also urged the public to use emergency services responsibly and avoid making fake calls, emphasizing that misuse can delay help for those in genuine life-threatening situations.
