LODHRAN, Jun 10 (APP):District Emergency Officer (DEO) Engineer Shakeel Ahmad said that Rescue 1122 Lodhran responded promptly to 750 emergency calls, providing assistance to 745 individuals during Eid-ul-Adha holidays.
The emergencies included 87 road traffic accidents, 594 medical emergencies, seven fire incidents, 14 crime-related emergencies, 11 falls from heights and 37 miscellaneous emergencies.
Out of the 745 affected individuals, 511 were provided with first aid, while 234 were stabilized and shifted to hospitals for further treatment. Under the patient referral system, 53 patients were shifted from smaller to larger hospitals to receive advanced medical care.
Special emergency coverage was also arranged at recreational spots and canals across the district during the holidays. Due to these proactive measures, no untoward incident was reported throughout the district.
