FAISALABAD, Dec 01 (APP):Rescue-1122’s control room received 13,380 emergency calls and provided assistance to 14,465 individuals last month, according to a statement from spokesperson Zahid Latif on Monday.
The rescue teams responded to 2,913 road accidents, 9,189 medical emergencies, 135 fire incidents, 206 crimes, 8 drowning cases, 5 building collapses, and 842 miscellaneous emergencies. Additionally, the teams rescued 82 birds that had become entangled in trees.
In total, 14,465 victims of various incidents were assisted, with 7,675 individuals receiving first aid. Furthermore, 5,167 people were transported to hospitals for medical treatment.
Tragically, 36 individuals lost their lives in road accidents, and 730 others died in various emergencies, with their bodies being shifted to the mortuary.
