SIALKOT, Jul 16 (APP):The Rescue-1122 organised tree plantation in collaboration with the Rose Welfare Organisation.
As per the special instructions of Secretary Emergency Services Department Dr. Rizwan Naseer, Rescue 1122 organised tree plantation in collaboration with local NGO during the monsoon season with the aim of creating awareness among the public about the environmental threats facing the earth.
District Emergency Officer (DEO) Engineer Naveed Iqbal, along with Clean Green Pakistan’s award-winning national champion Rose Welfare President Ashfaq Nazar, social leaders Mirza Abdul Shakoor, Abdul Jalil alias Chacha Cricket, Mian Sarfraz Nawaz, Pir Ghulam Hussain Sultani, Mian Shamil, Chaudhry Afaq, Malik Zahid Hussain, Azhar Iqbal Mughal, Muhammad Zahid, Chaudhry Musa Ashfaq, Muhammad Waseem Attari, Hafiz Muhammad Saleem, Muhammad Ramzan besides political and social figures, community members, rescuers and rescue scouts planted saplings on the green belt on Pasrur Road.
District Emergency Officer said that the public should avoid adopting such measures that lead to land and air pollution.
DEO Engineer Naveed Iqbal said that the use of plastic items and later burning them on a large scale, indiscriminate use of water, burning of crop residues, toxic smoke from factories are a threat to the earth and its environment, only through tree plantation can we make our environment pleasant and clean.
Ashfaq Nazar said that we are always ready for all kinds of cooperation for the tree plantation campaign and God willing, we will continue to play our role to protect our dear countrymen from increasing pollution.
