Rescue 1122 Lower Dir Responds to 492 Emergencies in March

LOWER DIR, Apr 01 (APP):The district emergency service Rescue 1122 responded to a total of 492 emergencies during March 2026, providing timely assistance to 458 injured persons and patients across the district.
According to the in-charge of Rescue 1122, the emergencies included 174 medical cases, 54 road traffic accidents, seven fire incidents, seven cases of gunshot or interpersonal violence, 35 recovery and other emergency situations, and one drowning incident.
On the directives of doctors, a total of 215 patients were safely shifted to various hospitals within and outside the district for further treatment.
The Rescue 1122 control room received 6,839 calls during the month, a significant number of which were reported to be unnecessary or fake.
Citizens have been urged to use the emergency helpline 1122 responsibly to ensure timely response to genuine emergencies.
