DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jan 12 (APP):Rescue 1122 Lakki Marwat responded promptly to 175 emergency incidents of various types during the last week, providing immediate medical and rescue services to people at their doorsteps.
According to a spokesman, the Rescue 1122 teams remained on high alert under the leadership of District Emergency Officer Bilal Afridi.
He said that a total of 2,754 calls were received during the week, including 1,338 fake and non-emergency calls, while 1,241 were information-related calls.
Quoting the weekly performance report, he added Rescue 1122 responded to 149 medical emergencies, 18 road traffic accidents, five incidents of fights and firearm injuries, and one fire incident.
During these operations, a total of 170 patients were safely shifted to hospitals, while many others were provided first aid and medical assistance on the spot.
Furthermore, Rescue 1122 service responded to 53 emergency cases through its referral service.
Of these, five patients were shifted within the district, while 48 patients were transferred from one district to another.
In total, 55 patients benefited from the Rescue 1122 referral service, he said.
