MANSEHRA, Dec 18 (APP):District Emergency Officer (DEO) Mansehra, Abrar Ali Thursday distributed salary cheques among volunteer divers serving with Rescue 1122 Mansehra as a gesture of appreciation for their voluntary services.
Speaking on the occasion, DEO Abrar Ali lauded the dedication and commitment of the volunteer divers, stating that they play a vital role in saving precious human lives during water-related emergencies. He described their selfless services as highly commendable and an essential part of Rescue 1122’s emergency response operations.
The DEO further emphasized that Rescue 1122 will continue to encourage its volunteers and assured that facilities and opportunities would also be provided to them in the future to further strengthen emergency response capabilities.
It is pertinent to mention that Mansehra district has a large number of rivers, streams, and lakes, which are frequently affected by flooding during the monsoon and rainy seasons. Due to the vast geographical spread and the increasing number of water-related emergencies, Rescue 1122 officials often face challenges in promptly responding to all such incidents.
In this situation, the role of trained volunteer divers becomes extremely important. These volunteer divers work shoulder to shoulder with Rescue 1122 teams and play a crucial role in rescue operations, particularly during floods and other water-related accidents. Their timely response and professional skills significantly help in saving precious human lives and minimizing losses in difficult and hazardous conditions.
