DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Nov 03 (APP):The Rescue 1122 Dera Ismail Khan organized a dengue prevention and awareness campaign to educate citizens about protective measures against the mosquito-borne disease.
The campaign aimed to encourage community participation in eliminating breeding grounds and promoting healthy practices to curb the spread of dengue.
The drive was held under the directives of Director General Rescue 1122 Muhammad Tayyab Abdullah and Regional Director Operations South Imran Khan Yousafzai, and supervised by District Emergency Officer Engineer Waqas Alam.
During the campaign, citizens were advised to ensure no stagnant water remains in air coolers or containers, wear long-sleeved clothing to avoid mosquito bites, install mesh screens on windows and ventilators, and regularly use mosquito repellents and sprays.
The officials stressed that dengue control is impossible without public cooperation and urged everyone to spread awareness as a public service.
Rescue 1122 further appealed to the public to play their role in dengue prevention and to contact the emergency helpline 1122 in case of any emergency.
