Rescue 1122 conducts mock exercise to prepare for possible flood

RAWALPINDI, May 29 (APP):Emergency Service Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi, under the supervision of District Emergency Officer Rawalpindi Engineer Sibghat Ullah, conducted practical drills on Nala Lai and adjacent nullahs to prepare for possible flood threats.
The mock exercises were conducted to test the efficiency of government departments, assess their practical training, and evaluate their ability to take timely actions in any emergency. The drills highlighted the importance of coordinated efforts and trained staff in protecting lives and property during flood situations.
Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Hassan Waqar Cheema said, “The purpose of these exercises is to test the performance of equipment and rescue teams in relation to possible flood situations and to improve early preparedness as well as mutual cooperation between other agencies in flood situations.”
He added that the Rescue 1122 team is on high alert at all times in case of any emergency.
The drills demonstrated the commitment of Rescue 1122 Rawalpindi to saving lives and property during emergencies.
