LAHORE, Jun 04 (APP): Child Protection and Welfare Bureau (CPWB) Chairperson and MPA Sara Ahmad has said that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, is taking concrete and sustained measures to ensure the safety, rehabilitation, and well-being of children affected by aggression and mistreatment.
In her message on International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, she said the government is committed to protecting vulnerable children from all forms of violence. She said that this day is observed globally to express solidarity with children who have suffered from physical, mental, or emotional abuse. She emphasized that meaningful and sustained measures are being implemented to ensure the safety, protection, and rehabilitation of children affected by aggression and exploitation. “Children are our most precious asset and the foundation of our future. Ensuring their protection is our collective and foremost responsibility,” she added.
The CPWB Chairperson said that all possible measures are being implemented to shield children from physical and psychological abuse. The Child Protection Bureau remains fully active in its mission to rescue, protect, and rehabilitate children who are victims of violence, exploitation, or neglect.
Sara Ahmad urged citizens to remain vigilant and to report any incidents of abuse or exploitation involving children by calling the Child Helpline at 1121. “It is our moral and social duty to protect every child from harm and ensure a safe, nurturing environment for their growth and well-being,” she remarked.
