Registration campaign for civil defense volunteers continues

GUJRAT, Oct 03 (APP):A review meeting was held to assess the progress of the ongoing registration drive for the Punjab Civil Defence Resilience Force on the directions of Deputy Commissioner Gujrat, Noor-ul-Ain Qureshi, .
The meeting was chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) Afzal Hayat Tarar, and attended by key officials, including the Civil Defence Officer, Deputy Director Colleges, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the District Education Authority (DEA), CEO Health, and other representatives of the district administration.
According to a spokesperson for the district administration, the meeting focused on strategies to expand volunteer registration under the Punjab Civil Defence Resilience Force to bolster community support and emergency response capacity.
The spokesperson added that the campaign was open to citizens from all walks of life, including students, teachers, doctors, homemakers, workers, and retired officers. The initiative aims to strengthen public engagement in civil defence efforts and promote a culture of resilience across the district.
Officials reiterated their commitment to ensuring maximum participation in the campaign and recognized the critical role of community volunteers in disaster preparedness and emergency management.
