RAWALPINDI, October 16 (APP): The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) is set to modernize its property management system with two major initiatives for enhancing transparency, curbing malpractice, and improving efficiency in urban development.
The initiatives were discussed in a high-level meeting chaired by RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza, who reviewed key proposals for the transfer of units in RDA-approved multi-storey projects including condominiums, residential apartments, commercial spaces, and mixed-use developments and the introduction of QR-coded allotment and transfer systems for plots in RDA-approved private housing societies.
The digitized mechanism is designed to ensure secure, traceable, and tamper-proof documentation for property transactions, significantly reducing the risk of forgery and unauthorized transfers.
Kinza Murtaza emphasized that these reforms will “streamline procedures, promote transparency, and strengthen public confidence in the real estate sector.” She directed the concerned departments to begin immediate implementation of the approved proposals.
The meeting was attended by Additional Director General Mansoor Ahmad Khan, Chief Planner Muhammad Tahir Meo, Director Administration and Finance Iftikhar Ali, Director Building Control Samiullah Niazi, Director Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering Atif Chaudhry, and other senior officials.
The Director General also commended Deputy Director IT Dawood Khalid, Deputy Director Planning Ali Raza, Deputy Director Finance Muhammad Shoaib Khan, and Assistant Director Planning Mahwish Naseem for their exceptional performance and dedication to advancing RDA’s modernization agenda.
These initiatives, once implemented, will mark a significant step in digitizing property transfers and enhancing governance reflecting RDA’s commitment to building a transparent and citizen-centric urban development framework across Rawalpindi district.
