RAWALPINDI, Jun 03 (APP):The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) had sealed the offices of two housing societies, ramping up its operation against illegal developments and illegal housing schemes.
According to an RDA spokesperson, the RDA Enforcement Squad sealed site offices, demolished road infrastructures, illegal structures and removed advertisements of housing schemes, the Pakistan Employees Cooperative Housing Scheme and The Life Residencia at Mouza Mohri Khatran and Ghurbal, Tehsil Rawalpindi, following the directives of the Divisional Intelligence Committee.
The crackdown was supervised by the Director General (DG) RDA, Kinza Murtaza, who emphasized the continuation of such operations to combat fraudulent practices and to protect citizens from exploitation.
Despite previous warnings to cease illegal advertisements, bookings, and development activities, the owners of the mentioned housing schemes continued to operate booking offices in violation of regulations.
The operation was jointly carried out by the officials RDA and the Police Station Naseerabad.
