RAWALPINDI, Dec 04 (APP):A delegation of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) led by President Usman Shaukat along with Group leader Sohail Altaf called on Station Commander, Brigadier Ali Anjum Syed.
Lieutenant Colonel Raja Shakeel, Lieutenant Colonel Wali representing Rawalpindi and Chaklala Cantonment Boards were also present on the occasion, while RCCI’s Senior Vice President Khalid Farooq Qazi, former presidents Asad Mashadi and Saqib Rafique were part of the delegation
The meeting discussed development work in the Saddar area, immediate construction of parking plazas, issues related to the Old Grant Lease, and construction of public toilets in Tench Bhata.
The delegation apprised the Station Commander that immediate construction of a parking plaza is essential for the convenience of customers in Saddar, and suggested to constitute a committee to resolve the issue of the Old Grant Lease amicably.
The Station Commander assured the delegation that a help desk will be established to promote business activities and facilitate chamber members and traders.
He said that the chamber and the Station Commander Office will also organize events together so that commercial and activities can increase in the city.
A parking plaza will be constructed in Saddar Cantt to solve the parking problem, he added.
