RAWALPINDI, Jul 23 (APP):An open court was held in Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) in which citizens presented their issues to the cantonment officials.
Additional CEO Haider Shuja directly listened to the problems of the citizens and immediately issued directions to the concerned departments to solve them. Assistant Secretary and Spokesperson, Rashid Saqib and heads of various branches were also present in the open court.
According to the details, water supply, sanitation, taxes, construction and maintenance of roads/streets, encroachments and other issues were brought to notice by the citizens during the direct interaction.
Additional CEO Haider Shuja instructed the concerned RCB officials to investigate various matters agitated by the citizens and asked to redress their issues on priority. He said that RCB was making all its efforts to solve citizens’ problems.
He said that the purpose of open court was to bridge the gap between the administration and the residents so that their problems could be solved at their doorsteps. Providing facilities to the citizens is our first priority, he added.
On the issue of water supply, the Additional CEO told the citizens that the demand for water had increased greatly due to the increase in population. Yet the RCB’s administration is solving this problem on a priority basis, he said. He urged the citizens to carefully use water. The citizens appreciated the actions of the Cantonment Board administration.
