RAWALPINDI, Oct 30 (APP):The District Health Authority (DHA), Rawalpindi reported 13 new confirmed dengue cases in the last 24 hours, making the total for the year to 1,307, according to the latest surveillance data released by the authority. 33 patients currently admitted for treatment.
According to the details, allied hospitals have screened a total of 20,055 suspected patients since January this year.
With 1,359 surveillance teams, over 6.1 million houses have been inspected till date, identifying 195,861 positive sites. Additionally, 1.74 million potential breeding spots were checked, out of which 27,015 spots were identified positive and eliminated 222,876 larvae.
On enforcement of SOPs front, authorities have taken strict punitive actions against violations.
This includes registering 4,708 FIRs, sealing 1,901 premises, issuing 3,644 challans and imposing fines totaling over Rs. 11.2 million.
The health authority spokesman urged residents to eliminate standing water around homes and cooperate with inspection teams, especially as cooler weather approaches.
