The operations, carried out on the instructions of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani, covered 741 houses, 332 shops, and 29 hotels, along with three bus and truck stands, in areas including Kallar Syedan, Rawat, Chauntra, Dhamial, Jatli, Saddar Baironi, Mandrah, Peer Dihai, Ganj Mandi, City, Waris Khan, Banni, New Town, Sadiqabad, Ratta Amral, Morgah, Cantt, Wah Saddar, and Nasirabad.
The police detained 31 undocumented Afghan residents and two proclaimed offenders, while 35 cases were registered against individuals who failed to record tenancy details, the spokesman said.
“The operations are part of NAP to strengthen law enforcement, ensure public safety, and curb criminal activity,” he added. “All available resources are being deployed to uphold the rule of law and maintain peace across Rawalpindi.”
He said the exercise combined citizen verification, intelligence gathering, and enforcement measures to tackle crime and reinforce security in the district.
