RAWALPINDI, Feb 08 (APP): On the special directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani, Rawalpindi Police conducted a citywide flag march in the supervision of SSP Operations Malik Tariq Mehboob to demonstrate its commitment to maintain law and order.
The flag march commenced from Police Lines Headquarters and passed through key areas, including Ammar Chowk, Rawal Road, Shaheen Chowk, Chandni Chowk, Double Road, Faizabad, Committee Chowk, Liaquat Bagh, Peshawar Road, Chohar Chowk, Adiala Road, and other parts of the city.
Senior police officials participated in the march, including the SSP Investigation, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), Divisional SPs, SDPOs, SHOs, and a large contingent of police personnel.
According to police spokesperson, the purpose of the flag march was to reaffirm the force’s resolve to ensure peace across the city. The spokesperson added that Section 144 remains enforced in Rawalpindi, and no illegal gatherings will be allowed under any circumstances.
The individuals involved in violating the law or creating unrest would be dealt with strictly. He urged citizens not to become part of any illegal or disruptive activity.
Emphasizing that the protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the top priority of Rawalpindi Police and will be ensured at all costs.
