A police spokesman said the camp was organised on the special directives of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani to ensure the availability of blood for thalassaemia patients.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Malik Tariq Mehboob visited the camp and reviewed the blood collection process and facilities. “Donating blood for patients suffering from thalassaemia is our small contribution,” he said.
CPO Hamdani, in his message on the occasion, said the Rawalpindi Police were committed not only to protecting the lives and property of citizens but also to serving the community with dedication.
