RAWALPINDI, Oct 09 (APP): The Rawalpindi Police on Thursday carried out search operations in various areas of the district as part of the National Action Plan (NAP) to maintain law and order and trace criminal elements.
According to a police spokesperson, the operations were conducted in the jurisdictions of Rawat, Kallar Syedan, Kahuta, Civil Lines and Race Course police stations with the participation of the local police, Elite Force, Lady Police and other law enforcement agencies.
The operations were launched on the special instructions of City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani, who directed that strict checking be ensured to eliminate criminal networks and safeguard public peace.
During the operations, data of 86 houses, 53 shopkeepers, eight tenants and over 200 individuals was verified and recorded.
CPO Hamdani directed that such search operations be conducted from time to time in line with the National Action Plan to curb crime and ensure the safety of citizens.
