RAWALPINDI, Nov 05 (APP):In a major crackdown on criminal activities, Rawalpindi Police have arrested ten suspects involved in robbery, motorcycle theft, and possession of illegal weapons during separate operations carried out across the city.
According to police, Waris Khan and Westridge Police apprehended six suspects belonging to three robbery gangs involved in a series of motorcycle thefts and street crimes. Police recovered seven stolen and snatched motorcycles, motorcycle parts, Rs 8,000 in cash, and illegal weapons from their possession.
Waris Khan Police arrested four members of two gangs, recovering five motorcycles and spare parts, while Westridge Police apprehended two members of another gang, seizing two snatched motorcycles, cash, and weapons.
A police spokesperson said the arrested suspects will be presented before the court with solid evidence, adding that those depriving citizens of their valuable property will face strict legal action.
In separate operations, police from City, Sadiqabad, Banni, and Chaklala stations arrested four individuals and recovered 23 liters of liquor, illegal weapons, and ammunition.
Divisional SPs reaffirmed that the crackdown against narcotics and illegal arms will continue without discrimination, ensuring that those involved in such crimes will be brought to justice.
