RAWALPINDI, Aug 10 (APP):A meeting to review the progress of ongoing beautification, plantation and landscaping projects in Rawalpindi was held here on Sunday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Capt (Retd) Nadeem Nasir.
All Assistant Commissioners, Chief Officer District Council, Chief Officer Municipal Corporation, Managing Director Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) and other relevant officers attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed in detail the progress of ongoing beautification schemes, parks, green belts, roads and other development and landscaping projects in the city. The concerned officers briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the current status of the projects and their completion.
The Deputy Commissioner directed that all ongoing beautification schemes aimed at making Rawalpindi greener, cleaner and more attractive must be completed by August 20 without fail. He said no delay in completion of the projects would be tolerated and directed all relevant departments to ensure timely completion through effective coordination.
He also directed the officers to provide daily updates on the progress of beautification projects and share daily progress of parks, roads, green belts and other ongoing schemes along with geotagged photographs to ensure effective monitoring of the quality and pace of work.
Capt (Retd) Nadeem Nasir said the beautification projects were aimed at providing citizens with a clean, green and attractive environment, adding that quality, sustainability and timely completion of all projects must be ensured.
