KARACHI, Jul 07 (APP):Pakistan Rangers Sindh, in collaboration with the police, thwarted a robbery attempt and arrested three armed suspects during an operation on the Indus Highway in Kashmore-Kandhkot district.
According to a Rangers spokesperson on Monday, the operation was launched based on intelligence reports indicating that three to four armed men were committing robberies near the Arbelo police picket on the Indus Highway.
As soon as the alert was received, Rangers and police patrol teams rushed to the scene. Upon spotting the approaching law enforcement personnel, the suspects fled towards Khamiso Khan Bhangwar village.
A joint search operation was launched in the area, during which three suspects Shabbir Ahmed Mirani, Faqeer Bakhsh Bhangwar, and Ahsan Bhangwar were apprehended.
Weapons, ammunition, and stolen items were recovered from the suspects, including a .222 bore rifle with 10 rounds, a 30-bore pistol with 7 rounds, a motorcycle, a mobile phone, and both local and foreign currency.
The arrested individuals, along with the seized weapons and stolen property, were handed over to the police for further legal proceedings.
