KARACHI, Jun 23 (APP):In a joint intelligence-based operation, Pakistan Rangers Sindh and police arrested two most-wanted suspects Muhammad Shahab Khan alias Kara and Mansoor Alam alias Chirkut, allegedly affiliated with MQM-London from Saudabad and Airport areas of the megalopolis.
The arrested suspects were involved in multiple cases of drug trafficking, robbery, and street crime, according to spokesperson for Rangers on Monday.
Law enforcement recovered an auto-rickshaw, two mobile phones, and cash from their possession.
According to details, both individuals are habitual offenders and have been previously arrested multiple times by police and security agencies. During preliminary interrogation, Mansoor Alam confessed to having previously been involved in wall chalking, placing political banners, and collecting donations and Fitrana for the party. To avoid arrest during the Karachi operation, he began driving a rickshaw, which he later used to transport gutka, mawa, and narcotics.
Muhammad Shahab Khan, meanwhile, admitted to working as a controller at a private factory while simultaneously engaging in part-time street crimes. He has also been jailed multiple times for his criminal activities.
The two suspects confessed to carrying out numerous street crimes in Malir, Shah Faisal Colony, Landhi, and Korangi, as well as participating in robberies at three private dairy shops. They further revealed that they looted over Rs. 400,000 and 40 to 50 mobile phones at gunpoint during various incidents.
Both suspects have been handed over to the police along with the recovered items for further legal action.
