DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Jan 15 (APP):Radio Pakistan Dera Ismail Khan celebrated its 44th anniversary here at Radio Station’s Sabzazar on Wednesday.
Justice (R) Muhammad Daood Khan was the chief guest of the ceremony which was attended by Patron of Arbab-e-Danish Forum Gulzar Ahmad, President Abu-al-Muazzam Turabi, Vice President Muhammad Bashir Simaab, Ataul Akbar, Qazi Muzaffar, Syed Najaf Ali Shah, Ali Jan, Najam Saeed, Asad Mukhtar, Farah Noreen, Muhammad Ali Qaiser and other serving and retired employees, besides a number of radio listeners came from far and near.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief guest Muhammad Daood Khan said that Radio Dera had provided the people of Dera and neighboring districts with awareness and knowledge about various aspects of life.
“It has educated people from different walks of life and gained popularity among the residents of Daman and rural areas,” he opined.
Radio Dera’s Station Director Muhammad Najam-ul-Hassan stated that despite limited resources and workforce, the staff of his station continues to serve diligently. He mentioned that” the listeners of radio were our asset, and their affection boosts our morale.”
He reaffirmed the commitment to further improving the service of Radio Pakistan Dera station.
Earlier, Program Manager Humayun Mandokhel welcomed the participants at the ceremony and mentioned that although the station faces various challenges, including a lack of resources and workforce, they continue their journey.
The participants congratulated the Radio Dera staff. A cake was also cut on this occasion.
