BAHAWALPUR, Nov 02 (APP): The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) organized a Qirat and Naat competition at the university auditorium as part of its ongoing centenary celebrations.
According to an official press release issued by the IUB, the event was arranged by the Directorate of Students Affairs and the IUB Qiraat and Naat Society at the Prime Minister Youth Development Center, Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus. The competition featured performances for best recitation and best Naat.
The program was attended by Dr. Adnan Bukhari, Additional Director Students Affairs, and a panel of judges including Professor Dr. Rozina Anjum, Former Chairperson Department of Persian; Dr. Asif Nadeem, Advisor Performing Art Society; Dr. Sajila Kausar, Chairperson Department of World Religions and Interfaith Harmony; Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Siddique; Dr. Muhammad Shakir Hussain, Department of Islamic Studies; Dr. Hafiz Zeeshan Ahmed Arefin; and Dr. Hafiz Zeeshan Rashid, Department of Electrical Engineering.
A large number of students from various departments of the university participated in the competition. Dr. Shabana Nazar, Advisor, IUB Qiraat and Naat Society, expressed gratitude to the academicians for their special presence and appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students.
