LAHORE, Oct 15 (APP): Chairperson Punjab Women Protection Authority (PWPA) Hina Parvez Butt took notice of a tragic incident in Lahore’s Baghbanpura area, where a man allegedly assaulted his 15-year-old daughter.
According to police, the accused was arrested soon after the victim’s statement revealed that her father had threatened to harm her and her mother if she reported the crime. A case has been registered, and the statement of the victim has been recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Hina Parvez Butt strongly condemned the incident, terming it a reflection of moral and social decay, and said that individuals involved in such heinous acts deserve no leniency. She said there would be zero tolerance for crimes against women and children in Punjab.
