LAHORE, Jan 15 (APP):Prosecutor General (PG) Punjab Farhad Ali Shah Wednesday visited the Anti-Crisis Cell at Services Hospital here to review its operations and stressed the need for modernising and improving its functionality.
The visit focused on assessing the cell’s current performance, the facilities provided to victims, and the utilization of staff resources.
The prosecutor general was accompanied by Director Implementation Muhammad Arshad Farooqi and representatives from the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) team of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
During the visit, the prosecutor general stressed the cell’s critical role in addressing social issues and providing timely support to victims, highlighting the necessity of integrating modern technology and resources to enhance its efficiency.
While addressing the Medical Superintendent and hospital staff, the prosecutor general directed them to adopt a victim-centric approach and ensure the prompt delivery of legal and medical assistance. He also urged the staff to avoid any negligence or delays in providing support.
“The Anti-Crisis Cell is a key institution that not only offers immediate protection to victims but also accelerates the process of justice. Aligning this cell with modern standards is essential to ensure effective and reliable support for victims,” he stated.
The prosecutor general reaffirmed the Punjab government’s commitment to strengthening the justice delivery system and assured that all necessary resources would be utilized to enhance the cell’s performance.
The visit concluded with a pledge to make the Anti-Crisis Cell more effective in addressing the challenges faced by victims and ensuring timely assistance.
