Punjab Police rescue hostage, nab dacoit in Muzaffargarh

LAHORE, Oct 16 (APP): Punjab Police on Thursday carried out an intelligence-based operation in the Katcha area of Ali Pur, district Muzaffargarh, and successfully recovered an abducted citizen.
According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Police, the operation led to the arrest of a dangerous dacoit, identified as Gumni Jhabail, after a fierce exchange of fire. The abducted citizen was identified as Shahid.
The targeted action forced other outlaws to retreat, and several of their hideouts were destroyed during the operation.
Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, appreciated District Police Officer Syed Ghazanfar Ali Shah and the police teams for their successful efforts in recovering the abductee and apprehending the criminal.
