Punjab Police releases over Rs.1.8m medical assistance for employees
LAHORE, Sep 26 (APP):The Punjab Police on Saturday released additional medical assistance amounting to over Rs.1.8 million for the welfare of its employees and their families.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson,Inspector General(IG) of Punjab Police,Abdul Karim approved the release of the funds for medical treatment following scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee.
IG Punjab Abdul Karim said the welfare of police personnel, who are dedicated to protecting the lives and property of citizens,as well as their families was a top priority.
He said quality medical facilities were also being provided to police personnel through memorandums of understanding (MoUs) signed with various medical institutions.
According to the spokesperson,Rs.250,000 was released to DSP Qadeer Ahmed for the treatment of his wife, while Office Superintendent Abid Hussain Cheema received Rs.215,000 for his wife’s treatment.
Similarly,Sub-Inspector(SI),Muhammad Akmal, Wireless Constable Abid Hussain and Lady Constable Farzana Kausar were each provided Rs.200,000 for medical treatment.
DSP Rauf Ahmed and the widow of late Constable Abdul Ghafoor were each provided Rs.100,000 for medical treatment,while Constables Mazhar Abbas and Muhammad Sohail also received Rs.100,000 each for medical expenses.
The spokesperson said a total of Rs.267,000 was released for the treatment of Constables Farhan Riaz, Bilal Asim and Shahid Ahmed while Rs.95,000 was provided for the medical treatment of Junior Computer Operator Muhammad Sohail and Data Entry Operator Hassan Iqbal.
