LAHORE, Jan 11 (APP):Punjab Police released Rs. 720,000 for the welfare of special children of its employees suffering from cerebral palsy.
According to Punjab Police spokesperson, 24 children received assistance at the rate of Rs. 30,000 per child, and the monthly stipend for such children has been doubled from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000.
The spokesperson said that during the previous year, Rs. 76.56 million was disbursed for special children of police employees, and over the past three years, a cumulative amount exceeding Rs. 166 million has been provided, reflecting Punjab Police’s ongoing commitment to welfare initiatives.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar emphasized that all available resources are being utilized for the treatment, rehabilitation, and improved quality of life of special children, while the police force continues its round-the-clock service to citizens.
