Punjab Police, KIPS sign MoU to support education of martyrs’ families

LAHORE, Nov 06 (APP):A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Punjab Police and KIPS Education System was signed at the Central Police Office, Lahore, on Thursday to provide quality education at all levels for the children of police martyrs and serving personnel.
The MoU was signed by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar and Chief Executive Officer of KIPS Education System Abid Wazir Khan.
According to a spokesperson for Punjab Police, the MoU aims to provide special educational concessions to the children of police personnel across all KIPS schools, colleges, and coaching centres. Under the agreement, children of police martyrs will receive a 100 percent waiver on admission and tuition fees. Children of employees who die during service will be given a 40 percent concession, while children of serving personnel will receive a 35 percent discount on admission and monthly tuition fees. Additionally, deserving students will be considered for full fee waivers on a case-by-case basis.
Speaking on the occasion, IGP Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar lauded KIPS Education System’s nationwide reputation for quality education, noting that such collaborations will help ensure that the children of police personnel have access to a conducive and supportive learning environment.
The signing ceremony was attended by Additional IG Welfare & Finance Imran Arshad, DIG SPU & Welfare Ghazi Muhammad Salahuddin, DIG Training Rao Munir Ahmad Zia, AIG Welfare Abdul Raheem Sherazi, and other senior police officials.
