Punjab Police athletes shine in 25th National Wushu Championship 2025

LAHORE, Oct 27 (APP):Punjab Police athletes delivered an outstanding performance in the 25th National Wushu (Kung Fu) Championship 2025, winning a total of ten medals and bringing pride to the Police Department.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, ten teams from across the country, including the Army, WAPDA, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, participated in the event. Punjab Police athletes secured one Gold, one Silver, and eight Bronze medals.
Muhammad Umair clinched the Gold Medal, while Saboor Ahmad earned the Silver. Bronze Medalists included Muhammad Khalil, Tariq Mehmood, Muhammad Sadiq, Atiq-ur-Rehman, Mazhar Ullah, Munir Ahmad, Rahat Ullah, and Shahbaz.
Inspector General of Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar congratulated the medal-winning athletes, stating that Punjab Police sports teams continue to excel at both national and provincial levels. He said that the athletes’ success is a source of pride for the Punjab Police, and assured that every possible measure will be taken to encourage and support police sportsmen.
Director General Pakistan Police Sports Board Additional IG Imran Arshad, Patron Wushu Games Additional IG Shahzada Sultan, and Chief Sports Officer Athar Ismail also lauded the athletes for their remarkable achievements.
